"Inspired by all the beautiful artwork which I had been viewing, I enrolled in a three-hour introductory art class given by Georganne White. Having never attempted any kind of painting or drawing, I hoped I would not embarrass myself. Georganne, not only a teacher and artist, but also a consultant, quickly allayed all my fears. She had readied an assortment of colored chalk for the class, explained the different kinds, the various ways to use them and numerous tricks of the trade. At the end of the class, I was amazed at the quality of work, which my classmates, all first timers, and I had created."
